The Policlinic Department, in the adult
emergency services is the Hospital area where the emergency
service is offered to the adult patient, older than13
years that presents traumatic origin illnesses or medical
emergencies, preferably of higher complexity level.
Policlinic is located in the northwest side of the
Hospital. Its objective is to offer medical attention
services to the urgent patients in a human, efficient
and opportune way through an interdisciplinary team
work directed to every patient that presents an alteration
in his/her physical and/or mental integrity which requires
immediate and effective medical intervention oriented
to diminish the risks of death and invalidity, regardless
of his/her socioeconomic condition and of his affiliation
or not to a health general social security system.
