The gynecology and Obstetrics Department
of the Hospital Universitario San Vicente de Paul was
created in 1929 by initiative of the professors of Medicine
Faculty of Antioquia University, seeking, basically to
offer specialized attention to women in everything related
to gynecological illnesses and attention to high risk
obstetrics patient. Since then it has offered its services
permanently. It has supported the formation of health
and investigation human resource of all the factors that
have incidence on women’s health during all the
stages of their life..
